Art Aguilar, Managing Partner
Art was initially trained by some of the best lawyers in Houston, with big name law firms. Partners who are board certified in civil trial law, and appellate law. In his roles as an associate and former in house attorney for a nationwide insurance company, he gained valuable and practical trial experience which is rare among the younger lawyers.
In his role as a trial lawyer, Art has taken and defended well over 200 depositions, tried several cases as first chair and second chair, and has learned tactics which will knock a witness back to his heels, and make them think twice about being untruthful under oath.
He has experience representing insurance carriers in catastrophic personal injury, and wrongful death cases. Similarly, Art has assisted in several insurance coverage disputes, ranging from minor car wrecks to million-dollar claims. Art has pre-trial and very real trial experience, all of which ranges from contested motion hearings, complex dispositive motion practice, taking and defending depositions, pre-trial proceedings, picking juries, presenting and cross-examining witnesses, and arguing the jury charge.
He has also assisted in trials involving a mixed bag of issues, including breach of contract, fraud, DTPA, personal injury claims, and trade secrets.
Art prides himself in representing the client, having an incorruptible sense of integrity, to both the Court and adversaries, and establishing a reputation for getting the case resolved, not dragging it out.
Zain Mohammad, Of Counsel
Dallas, TX - Zain completed his bachelor’s at the University of Texas at Dallas and received his law degree from the University of Houston with a passion in fighting for people’s rights. He holds service as one of his utmost values. Quality time and effort are poured into each of Zain’s cases while working closely with clients and communicating with them throughout the process.
A local, having grown up in Carrollton, Texas, Zain knows the ins and outs of the Texas legal system as well as the needs of local clients. When Zain is not serving clients and dishing out justice he enjoys hiking in the DFW metroplex as well as trying out the best restaurants it has to offer. Especially those serving tacos, sushi, or Indian food. He is also well read on issues concerning investment properties, real estate, stock markets, and cryptocurrencies.

Carol Sloss, Of Counsel
Houston TX - Carol is a native Houstonian. She graduated from the Sophie Newcomb College at Tulane University in New Orleans with a B. A. degree with Honors in Political Science. She received her J.D. from University of Houston Bates College of Law and her L.L.M. from Tulane Law School. She has extensive experience in maritime law, immigration, business formation and litigation, trust and estate law, and general tort law including personal injury. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
Zhonghua (Yvonne) Lai, Of Counsel
Austin, TX - Zhonghua (Yvonne) Lai is an experienced U.S. federal immigration attorney who is a licensed member of the Texas State Bar, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Once an immigrant herself, Attorney Lai is intimately familiar with the immigration challenges that frequently confront foreigners and the journey of pursing the American dream. Her own personal and professional success story testifies to the numerous opportunities available to immigrants in the United States. Since immigrating to the United States, Attorney Lai has dedicated her life to helping people and their families around the world realize their own immigration aspirations.
Attorney Lai earned her LLM Degree from Texas University.
Prior to starting her own law practice, Attorney Lai practiced at a famous immigration law firm, where she developed her immigration experience. Before that, Attorney Lai practiced with Mayer Brown Beijing Office, a top 10 international law firm that handles a substantial number of international financing and cross-border investments. Attorney Lai worked for 7 years in China, where she specialized in setting up foreign invested enterprises, and negotiating franchising and licensing agreements.
Attorney Lai has practiced in a wide range of immigration, trust and business law matters. She is fluent in Mandarin, and English
